Job Description
Lockheed Martin Missile and Fire Control Orlando is looking for a mechanical design engineer to support the F35 Sensors program. This engineer will primarily support F35 EOTS Sensor and Window production, supporting in-house centers, outside suppliers, design changes, yield improvement activities and failure review boards. In this role the engineer will perform structural design, CAD modeling and drawing creation, trade studies and tolerance analysis, production support, materials and mechanical labs support, supplier support and risk and opportunity initiatives. The engineer will work on cross-functional teams, including Supplier Management Teams and MFC Orlando machine centers. Experience in CREO or Solid Works is preferred. Travel may be required on a limited basis.

Lockheed Martin is seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to support a sensor program production activities. The candidate will need to have familiarity with mechanical structure design and aerodynamics. Candidate will be responsible for creating updated structural components, Line Replaceable Units (LRUs), and mechanical parts associated with the sensor pod. The candidate will also support production hardware and work directly with Fire Control Factory and Ocala Manufacturing Engineers to quickly react and develop solutions when problems arise. The candidate will be responsible for packaging design updates and design documentation processing including Requirements/Concepts (RC) Design Assurance (DA) Reviews, Implementation (I) DA Reviews, Pre-Release (PR) DA Reviews, and fully released drawings. Candidate should have excellent communication skills as they will be interfacing with multiple cross functional team members in a dynamic environment.

West Palm Beach is about 2.5 hours to the south and Jacksonville is about 2 hours to the northeast. Atlanta, GA is 6 hours to the northwest.
