Precise Systems is seeking an experienced Logistician to support the Vertical Launch System (VLS) Canister & Launcher Support Equipment (LSE) Engineering Branch at the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Port Hueneme Division (NSWC PHD). The tasking supports efforts for the following NSWC PHD customers: United States Navy; Allied Nations (NATO); Consortium Nations; and Foreign Military Sales (FMS).

All work is performed on site, in Port Hueneme, 5 days per week.

Duties:

  • The candidate will be responsible for the maintenance of an up-to-date inventory of all parts and materiel for VLS canisters and gas management. This includes but is not limited to: Part Number, Description, Quantity, Location, etc.
  • The candidate will be responsible for ordering parts and materiel from Government and Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) sources.
  • The candidate will be responsible for tracking all parts and materiel orders and maintaining a log with all relevant details.
  • The candidate will be responsible for inspecting incoming parts and materiel for acceptance: correctness and/or damage. The results will be noted in the order log and immediately reported to a responsible party.
  • The candidate will be responsible that all required government forms (DD1149, etc.) are properly completed and distributed.
  • The candidate will be responsible for packaging and shipping of parts and materiel to locations in the Continental United States (CONUS) and outside the Continental United States (OCNUS).
  • The candidate will be responsible for parts and materiel kitting. This requires a level of mechanical aptitude and knowledge of common tools and piece parts.
  • The candidate will be responsible for participating in IPTs and related technical meetings and taking notes for subsequent publication as applicable.
  • The candidate may from time to time be required to assist updating and maintaining maintenance procedures and logistics documentation used for: Weapons Systems Integration/Fleet Interface (WSI/FI); Various Launching Systems; Test Equipment and Canister production; All-Up Round (AUR) Maintenance Facilities; Naval Munitions Command Detachments; Intermediate Level Maintenance Facilities (ILMFs); Limited Maintenance Facilities (LMF); Consortium Navy Facilities; Test & Evaluation (T&E) facilities; shipboard for the USN.; Consortium Nations; Allied Nations; FMS customers; and NSWC PHD.

Desired Education:

  • Minimum of a High School Diploma.

Desired Experience:

  • At least (5) five years of experience in supply chain management and inventory control.
  • Mechanical/Electrical technical background.
  • Leadership experience is a plus but not required.
  • Ability to learn quickly and work independently.
  • High degree of self-motivation.
  • Excellent team player.
  • Able to lift 40lbs.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%.
  • Able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
  • Valid driver’s license for possible CONUS travel.
  • Current U.S. passport for possible OCONUS travel.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. Due to the sensitivity of customer-related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
