Responsibilities:

  • Conduct one-to-one or small group activities with children on daily basis;
  • Give lessons to children on the main 4 subjects (English, Arabic, Science, Math);
  • Support the educators in preparing and correcting pre and post-tests;
  • Show to children and parents how to access and use e-learning and other alternative sources;
  • Share with team leader data of the activities on daily and weekly basis;
  • Monitor daily attendance, progresses and behaviors of children during the activities;
  • Support team leader in designing weekly/monthly working plans and report;
  • Collect data of the children with the purpose of monitoring and evaluating the activities including registration (intake form), attendance, satisfaction surveys, etc.
  • Plan and shape activities in close collaboration with Project coordinator, team leader and Educator and following TDH Italy internal PSS curriculum;
  • Reporting to Team leader and support him in adapting the activities to better fit the needs of the children in the community, with specific attention to the needs of the most vulnerable;
  • Refer vulnerable children identified as in need of specialized and additional support to Team leader and/or Case workers;
  • In case needed, Learning Facilitator should support protection and PSS activities.
  • Responsible to maintain the place of work tidy and clean.
  • Report Child protection concerns in the community and working area.
  • Support CPC.
  • Support FGDs.
  • In case of need, support awareness campaign.
  • Support other colleagues (even from other project/ department) for best interest of children.
  • Support in implementing relevant protection activities.
  • Any other tasks assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications & Preferred Skills

  • College degree in Social Sciences, Psychology, Education or similar is preferrable;
  • Previous experience in similar positions;
  • Fluency in Arabic, English is an asset;
  • Previous experience in NGOs and good knowledge of humanitarian principles, humanitarian aid and procedures;

Excellent communication skills
