The School of Professional Studies is seeking an Administrative Aide I to perform a broad range of facility, clerical, secretarial, and general office duties including those of a confidential nature. Respond to inquiries displaying a comprehensive knowledge of the facility offerings and policies. Provide audio-visual support services to School’s departments including event support, equipment delivery and retrieval. Assist with the prioritization of office activities and delegate to and monitor work of student and/or casual employees. Operate a wide variety of network, hardware/software and video equipment including some specialized equipment requiring significant training. Operate equipment during special events.

 

Please note this position is located in our Midtown Center – 11 W. 43rd Street.  The hours for this position will be Monday – Friday 12:00 noon to 8:00 pm with a one hour meal break.

Required Education:
High School diploma.
Required Experience:
2 years of office experience. Experience providing customer support.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Knowledge of and ability to operate audiovisual equipment and a wide variety of media equipment. Ability to work independently and in groups and to take initiative. Basic understanding of computing procedures and standards and desktop configurations. Knowledge of PC configuration and troubleshooting.
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve intermediate-level configuration problems.

In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the hourly rate for this position is USD $33.029. This rate is based on bargaining unit contracts. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
