Estates is responsible for the management and development of University premises in Milton Keynes and its National and Regional Centres. The Space Planning Team has an exciting opportunity for a Space Planning Co-ordinator to join the team in helping the OU achieve its strategic objectives.

The role

Estates are looking to recruit a Space Planning Co-ordinator to join our busy, dynamic team and organise the day-to-day office furniture requirements of the University.

You will co-ordinate requests for new items of furniture, carpet and blinds and manage the off-site store and charity donations to ensure effective re-use of old furniture. You will be responsible for co-ordinating the day-to-day activities of porters, furniture suppliers, carpet installers and blind contractors and manage minor office re-planning and re-organisation.

Skills and experience

This role will suit you if you:

  • Are an excellent communicator with strong interpersonal and negotiating skills.
  • Possess the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. 
  • Can work well under pressure and prioritise effectively.
  • Are committed to building strong client relationships and have a proven track record of providing excellent customer service.
