What will you be doing!

  • Assisting the Training Consultant in developing comprehensive training needs analysis to determine the needs of a broad range of customers providing flexible, creative solutions in technical and non-technical training areas.
  • In collaboration with a Training Consultant, troubleshooting, identifying and recommending solutions to compliance and regulatory training programs by evaluating the performance issues and making recommendations using SAT.
  • Assisting with Training Program Evaluations for the purpose of continuously improving CNLs training.
  • Assisting the Training Consultant to monitor training metrics and maintain existing training documentation and materials.
  • Implementing potential improvements to material and processes in order to maintain industry standards to ensure training programs are comprehensive and auditable.
  • Responding to situations in accordance with established processes to mitigate further potential issues.

Under the guidance of the Training Consultant, planning, facilitating and leading team and client meetings using a variety of human performance techniques in order to resolve training issues that affect organizational effectiveness. * Performing research such as: industry benchmarking; OPEX; training standards and training best practices etc., to enable appropriate client training solutions.

  • Providing assistance reviewing instructor performance and collaboratively recommend improvements to instructors’ presentation methods and techniques.

What we are looking for:

  • A university degree or College diploma in, Training and/or Education with a minimum of two years of directly relevant experience in an industrial setting.
  • In the absence of post-secondary education, a minimum of five (5) years’ experience in a technical role, working in an industrial environment, and demonstrating the ability to assume the responsibilities described.
  • Experience in designing and developing technical, practical and classroom or Computer Based Training, on systems and equipment in a technical/industrial environment.
  • Experience in the development of Computer Based and Web-based training using Storyline 2 and 3.
  • Experience with facilitation of remote learning using technologies such as Microsoft Teams and Skype.
  • Experience in linking training program designs to business needs ad measuring the results.
  • Experience working in an environment with high levels of external regulation (CNSC, TSSA, ESDC, etc.)
  • Knowledge and experience in the development and implementation of technical training, tying learning objectives to performance.

Knowledge and experience in the implementation of the full SAT (or equivalent) process, while demonstrating competence in providing innovative training solutions to a broad range of customers to solve business issues and enable performance. * Project management knowledge, skills and experience. Planning and implementing large training projects.

  • Influencing and mentoring skills.
  • Relationship building skills enabling effective working partnerships with Team members, internal customers and other professional organizations.
  • Ability to effectively communicate, both written and verbal, with all levels of the company hierarchy.
  • Promote and demonstrate CNL’S safety culture and quality commitment both internally and externally.
  • Experience in facilitation techniques, coaching and training delivery.
  • Abilities using computer software such as word, excel, outlook, PowerPoint, etc. Storyline 2/3 would be an asset as would Microsoft projects.
  • Knowledge of change management processes to enable effective change management application as it applies to training to training program management.

Security clearance eligibility required: Reliability Status with Site Access Security Clearance (SASC), which has a minimum requirement of 3 years of verifiable history in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, United States and/or the United Kingdom.

Location:

CNL works with employees across Canada to enable a remote workforce where possible. Our Work from Home employees are provided with the equipment required to be successful: laptop, monitor, external etc. Of course, we always love a visit to site when possible!
