Position: Teaching Assistant Location: Evington Start Date: January 2024

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with special educational needs
• Collaborate with teachers to implement individualised education plans (IEPs)
• Adapt learning materials to cater to the diverse needs of students
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment
• Support students in reaching their full potential

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, preferably in a special educational needs setting
• A passion for working with primary-aged children with special educational needs
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude
• Relevant qualifications in education or support work (desirable)

To be considered for this position you will:
– have previous school experience and be familiar with the SIMS system
– Be a committed professional
– Be an organised, enthusiastic proactive person
-Hold a child workforce enhanced DBS certificate which is on the update service, or be willing to apply for a new one (costs refunded back to you when you complete 20 days work)
-have satisfactory references
-have a CV must that covers the last 10 years of employment history where possible and any gaps in employment must be explained;
– Have the legal right to work in the UK.
