Bennington College welcomes applications for a Senior Business Analysis and Intelligence Coordinator to join a dynamic, impactful Information Technology team. The Senior Business Analysis and Intelligence Coordinator is responsible for the analysis and development of enterprise campus systems supporting a wide range of business functions including admissions, enrollment management, human resources, accounting, financial aid, library, inventory management, student information systems, registration, alumni relations and others. Working with business process owners and administrators, the Senior Coordinator will help to mine and make meaning of data sources to drive evidence-based decision-making. The Coordinator is also responsible for optimizing enterprise systems to streamline workflows, increase efficiency, reduce redundancy, and increase productivity. The Senior Business Analysis and Intelligence Coordinator must coordinate with other members of the IT@Bennington team to provide outstanding service to students, faculty, and staff and facilitate the identification and adoption of a technology service model that will enhance Bennington College’s technology resource effectiveness.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, data science, data analytics, data visualization, or other related field, or five to ten years of related professional experience, such as but not necessarily limited to data warehousing, data architecture, data storytelling/visualization, database engineering and programming; masters in related field strongly preferred.

Basic facility with concepts and uses of data warehousing and data mart creation.

Demonstrated ability to build dynamic and static data visualizations in PowerBI or equivalent.

Demonstrated ability to understand complex business-related software and to utilize it effectively.

Programming background is highly desired but not required.

Experience with SQL or equivalent query languages.

Project management expertise.

Preferred at least five to ten years of experience working in business intelligence, data integration, and technology-driven business process improvement.

Effective communications skills.

Ability to collaborate in partnership with non-technical business leaders at all levels of the College’s faculty, staff, and administration to identify and manage process improvement.

Ability to effectively bridge user requirements from business units with technological affordances.

Consistent exercise of discretion, independent judgment, and initiative, as well as, the interpersonal skills necessary to develop and maintain effective working relationships with individuals at all levels of the institution.

Maintain discretion and confidentiality of highly sensitive data.

Work with senior leaders and be able to manage complex relationships.

Must be able to lift 50 lbs. The work involves standing, bending, reaching, stooping, walking, pushing, pulling and climbing stairs. Lifting and placement of technology equipment and cabling below desks and in other confined spaces may also be required.
