Job title: Manufacturing Estimating Team Leader
Location: Rochester (Kent) – Hybrid working available min 3 days onsite

Salary: Circa £50,000 depending on experience
What you’ll be doing:
· Leading the Operations New Business Team responsible for the creation of cost effective estimates within achievable timescales
· Reviewing and approving Estimates/Proposals generated by the team and managing team resource levels to maintain capability in line with the requirements of the Integrated Business Plan
· Managing the delivery of improvements and activities within the team to ensure our new business team processes align closely with the wider bid process and are supportive of stakeholder requirements
· Support customer fact find audits, ensuring the basis of our estimates are clearly articulated and evidenced.
· Reporting to Senior Leadership on activities within the Operations New Business team
· Driving cross team, cross function and cross site collaboration to support continuous improvement
Your skills and experiences:
Essential
· Qualification in a relevant engineering discipline or equivalent appropriate experience
· Knowledge of the product life cycle through bid, development, production and support
· Clear and effective communicator with ability to influence senior stakeholders
Desirable
· Experience leading a team
· Proven track record of managing projects to completion within cost and schedule
· Project estimating experience

The Manufacturing Engineering team:
You will play an important role from the initial bid through to the delivery of units into development programs. The activities performed by the Manufacturing Engineering Services team support the initial estimation of cost and then the delivery of PCB, Machining and Test services. You will work with stakeholders across Operations, Procurement, Manufacturing and Engineering to ensure that requirements are understood and Estimates delivered on target to meet requirements.
