You’ll bring your analytical and strategic background to work on projects for the Joint Combatant Commands account. As a Strategic Competition Analyst, your research and analytical skills will bolster the execution of DoD implementation guidance, as well as the development of joint doctrine, concepts, and assessments that prepare the current and future Joint Forces. You’ll evaluate complex systems, processes, and policies and generate recommendations to enhance Joint Force conceptual understanding and operational effectiveness.

You Have: 

  • 4+ years of experience with researching, writing, and providing recommendations on national security

  • Experience in the Joint Staff, Combatant Commands, U.S. military staff, or U.S. Government interagency

  • ​Ability to conduct in-depth analysis, including comparative analysis and net assessments, and synthesize results to produce reports for senior leaders

  • Ability to communicate effectively with senior military and civilian leaders, including orally and in writing

  • Ability to work across multiple lines of effort under rigid timelines

  • TS/SCI clearance

  • Bachelor’s degree

 

Nice If You Have: 

  • Experience with DoD doctrine, education, concept development and experimentation, training, exercises, and lessons learned

  • Experience with using Microsoft Office products

  • Master’s degree in Security Studies, International Affairs, or Public Policy

 

Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.
