Job Description:
The Admissions Application Coordinator I processes medical school/graduate student applications; provides day-to-day clerical/administrative support to the department; assist with the execution of various events; and help to promote the University as a viable educational institution.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensures accurate and timely completion of student applications for admittance with KCU
- Accurately maintains current records while maintaining confidentiality
- Coordinates and disseminates a variety of communication
- Assists with Admissions Office on and off campus events
- Assist with general office support
- Executes all interview days and events
- Effectively and accurately ensures appropriate arrangement and training of interview teams
- Represent department and the University favorably and in accordance with established Core Values and expectations
- Perform other duties as assigned or directed to meet the goals and objectives of the organization
- Works under minimal supervision
Qualifications
- Two years of college required
- Two years’ clerical and data entry experience required
- One year customer service experience required
- Experience in a college admissions office highly preferred
- Must have experience answering the phone in a professional environment
- Excellent organizational skills and a self-starter
- Ability to be flexible and able to shift priorities as demands change
- Able to work in a team environment and interact closely with team members
- Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to interact effectively and work efficiently with people at all levels in an organization
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills
- High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and a strong working knowledge of databases
