CHARACTERISTICS OF THE JOB
- Job location: ICRA – Catalan Institute for Water Research, Girona (Spain)
- Number of positions available: 1
- Expected start: 01/03/2024
- Temporal Position. The position is for 18 months
- Gross Annual Salary package: 26.000€
OFFER DESCRIPTION
This research technician advanced, a computer engineer, will support the research projects and contracts from the research line RIE4, focused on modeling of freshwater ecosystems, ecosystem services, and the use of nature-based solutions.
KEY DUTIES
Support the following tasks: development of numerical models for socio-environmental systems, associated with the current projects, through coding with languages such Phyton. Also, the data analysis with languages such as R, and usage of IA for probabilistic approaches.

Qualifications and Education Level:
Degree in Computer Engineering or Mathematics
Skills:
Coding with Phyton, R, C++, Java, and knowledge of numerical modelling (calibration, uncertainty, sensitivity), as well as artificial intelligence.
Required Languages:
Spanish, Catalan and English
Required Experience:
12 months in a research center
Desirable
Advanced knowledge of numerical modelling, and experience in the modelling of socio-environmental systems.
