The role
The People Development Team provides high quality learning and development opportunities to all colleagues at the University of Bristol. The Administration team within the People Development team is looking to recruit a CREATE Adviser to support and manage the smooth running of the (Cultivating Research-rich Education and Teaching Excellence) in collaboration with the BILT team.
This is an exciting and varied role, working across the whole University to actively support academics with their development.
This would be an ideal role for someone with student administration experience, who is looking to work in a central division, and work with colleagues (rather than students).
It would be a great opportunity for someone who is looking for personal and professional career development, working in a supportive team.
What will you be doing?
You will:
- be responsible for developing, implementing and managing the processes which ensure the efficient delivery of the CREATE programmes.
- be responsible for providing advice and guidance to University staff regarding the CREATE programmes.
- be responsible for the management of systems owned and utilised by People Development and BILT (including SITS/eVision and Develop, the University’s learning management system).
- deliver comprehensive and professional administrative support within People Development and BILT.
- manage the coordination of work with the CREATE Administrator(s) and, where relevant People Development Administrators, via appropriate channels and structures.
You should apply if:
- You have strong organisational skills, capable of managing a wide and diverse range of activities.
- You are approachable, personable and confident working with influencing a wide range of contacts.
- You can demonstrate a pragmatic approach when solving problems, and have effective decision-making ability to meet the demands of a busy service.
- You have a good degree of computer literacy, including the MSOffice suite and experience of relational databases.
- You are adaptable, able to manage a range of requests, in a changing environment
- You enjoy working in a busy environment, to produce accurate work to deadlines, with attention to detail.
