Posting Summary Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Temporary Research Assistant for the department of Pediatrics at the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.
The primary purpose of the research assistant position is to help perform data analysis on pediatric trauma patients. 
Among the key duties of this position are the following:

  • Ensuring accurate and timely input and management of research tasks and data analysis assignments. 
  • Cleaning and combining large datasets. Basic data analysis skills. 
  • Implement predictive machine learning algorithms. 
  • Perform other duties as needed.

Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience
  • Undergraduate/ graduate student or recent graduate of an accredited college or university, with computer experience including excel, python, R. 
Certifications/Licenses
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Ability to communicate both orally and in writing. 
  • Must be able to code efficiently and implement algorithms as well as troubleshoot any potential coding or data related errors that occur.

Immunization Requirements

Under Policy 60.1.35 Immunization Policy for Rutgers Employees and Prospective Employees , Rutgers University requires all prospective employees to provide proof that they are vaccinated against COVID-19 prior to commencement of employment, unless the University has granted the individual a medical or religious exemption.
