Our purpose is to make the world more sustainable by building trust in society through innovation. As a Network Specialist you will contribute to this by adding knowledge and experience.
Your role will involve the rollout of a sophisticated LAN Technical Refresh project involving take on and management of the MOD network infrastructure.
Acceptance of new equipment into service, and the retiring of older equipment with before and after reporting and analysis and issue investigation when required.
Activities such as technical design support, switch configurations and IT Health Checks.
Your transferable skills and experience:
- .Juniper Qualified Or equivalent experience
- Cisco Certified Network Associate Or equivalent experience
- Minimum of two years commercial networking experience
- Previous experience of network design or large-scale Tech refresh projects
- Understanding of network security and firewalls
- in depth knowledge of networking technologies, i.e. LAN, WAN, TCP/IP, routing, switching and subnet addressing
