In this role, you will make a meaningful impact by spearheading and supporting DRC’s Risk Management Framework (RMF).
As the global technical lead, your responsibilities will include developing and implementing policies, procedures, tools, and guidance to ensure alignment with industry best practices.

- As Secretary to DRC’s Risk Management Committee, you will coordinate meetings and facilitate the global roll-out of updated RMF elements through webinars and training sessions. Your role is crucial in providing strategic business development focus while upholding DRC’s commitment to humanitarian principles, accountability, and integrity.
Your main duties and responsibilities will, among other tasks, require that you:
- Develop, implement, and manage DRC’s RMF, policies, and procedures, ensuring clear documentation, communication, and coordination.
- Development, finalisation, and roll-out, and implementation support of a global digital solution for risk and issue management.
- Act as Secretary to the Risk Management Committee, coordinating meetings and ensuring effective communication.
- Conduct global roll-out of updated RMF elements through webinars and trainings, fostering global application and adherence.
- Provide timely and targeted risk oversight reports to relevant stakeholders, including the Annual Risk Management Report.
- Offer technical support and advice in risk identification, mitigation, and monitoring, collaborating with key stakeholders.
- Facilitate and lead risk management presentations and workshops, supporting risk assessments.

Required:
- Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Audit, Economics, or Business Administration, or equivalent qualifying work experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience with risk management in an international environment, including policy, procedures, tools, guidance, and training resource development backed by strong technical skills
- Excellent analytical skills, stakeholder management, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a diverse and inclusive environment
- Unwavering ethics & integrity, with a consistent ability to act as a trusted adviser and business partner
- Strong knowledge of MS Office suite, especially Excel
- Professional proficiency in English, both written and verbal
- Willingness to travel up to 30 days a year to Country Offices and Regions if required.
Desirable:
- Previous global level experience in risk management in the international humanitarian sector
- Experienced in executive management engagement
- Familiarity with Enterprise Risk Management digital platforms and/or audit software
- Relevant certifications (CRMA, CIA, CFE, ACCA)
- Proficiency in Arabic, Danish, French, and/or Spanish
- Exposure to audit, external due diligence, and donor relations
- Experience in a leadership role
- Commitment to diversity and inclusion, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
