Position Overview
The School of Natural Sciences is seeking to appoint an exceptional individual to take on the role of Lecturer in Chemistry. This position is being offered as a full-time, fixed-term contract for six months, commencing February 2024.
Massey University’s College of Science is research-led and advances knowledge by bringing the latest developments and technologies to our research and teaching. Chemists at Massey University, Manawatu Campus, are members of the Chemistry and Physics Group within the School of Natural Sciences. Facilities within the school will allow opportunities for the appointee to engage in research. The Chemistry Major within the Bachelor of Science degree represents a highly regarded teaching programme with courses offered at a variety of levels.
As a Lecturer, you will be expected to contribute to Massey University’s teaching and learning outcomes by delivering teaching and marking of undergraduate and postgraduate courses and contributing as an academic citizen to activities within the School of Natural Sciences.
To be successful in appointment to this position, you will have:
- PhD qualification in chemistry or a cognate discipline.
- Demonstrated teaching and research experience in a university or other tertiary teaching environment.
