Job description
As a Proposal Writer in our Business Operations group, you will work together with various internal teams (Business Development, Marketing, Software Development, etc.) to develop, organize, format and finalize content for high value Request for Proposal (RFP) responses pertaining to CBN’s suite of highly technical solutions.

What You Will Do
- Collaborate with the Business Development team and support the development of RFP specific master documents that capture all RFP requirements and assigned subject matter experts (SMEs);
- Monitor requirement response progress and assess against established timelines, liaising with Business Development as required to ensure that all SME content is provided according to schedule;
- Review and edit (in conjunction with Business Development) SME provided content to ensure responses are clear, concise, consistent, and compliant;
- Collate all proposal content and utilize graphic design fundamentals (layout, composition, typography, etc.) to develop visually engaging final proposals that are complete, well-written and highly readable;
- Oversee final publication (digital, and physical as required) of all proposals;
- Develop and evolve style guides, proposal templates, and boilerplate content for use in future responses; and
- Various other duties and responsibilities.
Minimum Qualifications
Knowledge and Experience
- College diploma/university degree in English, Communications, Business Administration, Marketing, IT or related field
- 3+ years of writing/editing/technical publication experience
Skills and Abilities
- Proficiency in MS 365 (Word, Excel, Visio, SharePoint)
- Excellent communication skills (written, verbal)
- Excellent organization/time management skills
- Self-directed
- Detail oriented
Mandatory Requirements
- Ability to obtain and maintain Government of Canada Secret (Level II) clearance.
