Job description
Our esteemed client, a premier name in the timber processing industry, who are known for manufacturing top-quality timber products, are currently looking for skilled Maintenance Fitters to join their team in the West of Scotland as part of their ongoing growth.
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will collaborate closely with the existing maintenance team to ensure optimal plant operations.
Responsibilities:
- Respond promptly to plant downtime to maximise throughput.
- Repair and replace damaged equipment.
- Record work completed using IT systems.
- Interrogate, fault find, and resolve equipment problems.
- Engage in continuous improvement activities and meetings.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
- Participate in special projects as required.
Skills Profile:
- Fully Qualified Fitter/Electrician for a factory setting.
- Relevant experience in a heavy mechanical facility is essential.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Attention to detail and concern for standards.
- Flexibility for a 25/5 and/or 24/7 shift pattern.
- Planning and organisational skills.
- Self-motivated with a strong customer focus.
