Job Description Summary: What you need to know about the role:

As Manager of the SMB Integrations team you will lead the Rest of Europe Integration Engineering team, part of Global Merchant Services, focusing on small to medium businesses. As an outstanding leader you will lead one of PayPal’s SMB Integrations teams, forming partnerships with commercial and operational teams. You will have the responsibility of building, maintaining, motivating and developing a team of Integration Engineers, working directly with Sales Leadership to achieve Sales & Company goals. We are seeking an experienced leader with fast innovative thinking skills, technical knowledge, and a solid business acumen.
Specifically, the role manages a team of customer facing Integration Engineers that support SMB merchants onboarding across the range of PayPal’s suite of products via direct integrations, or via a third-party partner such as a shopping cart or payment service provider (PSP).
As part of the EMEA SMB Integrations leadership team, you will partner closely with peers and other leaders to continually enhance and promote the services provided to delight PayPal’s customers and stakeholders.

Our overall team of currently 16 Integrations Engineers are all based in Dublin and are supporting SMB merchants on the EMEA market. We are a highly collaborative, motivated, and curious team and supporting each other is a daily priority for us.

Job Description:

Your way to impact:

As a successful candidate, you will lead the Rest of Europe Team of engineers. As a proven people leader with a strong coaching and development focus you will drive and motivate this team of engineers to achieve their personal and organizational goals. Successfully partnering well with our sales stakeholders is a critical part of the role.

Your day-to-day:

This will require you to be a strong people leader, with a proven track record in working in a target-driven environment and the ability to maintain high levels of engagement amongst the people you lead.

You will review, communicate, and coach daily performance, quality, behavior, and attendance standards at the individual and team levels. Utilize formal corrective action procedures as required.

You will schedule, prepare, and lead the required number of 1:1 coaching and team learning sessions and stand-ups that are interactive, engaging, and teammate-driven based on developmental needs.

You will know and support company and departmental procedures; regularly review and ensure that teammates follow procedures, process flows, and guidelines.

You will participate in teammate selection, internal talent movement, succession planning, training needs assessments, and closure of knowledge gaps.

You will establish relationships and engage with other people managers and key stakeholders in the development of new processes, products, and procedures for your designated segment through attendance at meetings and communication with Leaders and other business units.

You will target, track, and report team performance. Use multiple sources of data to refine execution and resourcing plans to reflect business priorities. Ensure support contacts are resolved following service levels and commitments.

What do you need to bring:

Requirements:

Experience in leading customer-facing teams and partnering with internal organizations. Can demonstrate strength in driving business results through influencing and motivating teams.

Minimum 5 years in consumer consumer-centric environment with 3+ years of work experience leading customer-facing teams.

Proven ability to manage and influence stakeholders at multiple levels, across different functions and locations.

Customer-focused and change agent with a detailed understanding of how to inspire teams to create innovative and customer-driven solutions.

Passion to secure, retain, and develop talent.

Inspirational Coach. Willingness to share expertise and formally introduce new methodologies to drive efficiencies.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work and collaborate in a global and remote environment.

Occasional travel for wider team and leadership meetings.

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior experience in payment processing and/or e-commerce is highly desirable.
