Our client is a leader in specialist environmental cleaning, waste management and engineering services for the maritime sector, including transport, commercial, defence and leisure. You will be required to carry out drainage clearance, and groundworks and assist in vacuum tanker and repair works. YOU MUST BE ABLE TO PASS AN ENHANCED DBS / SECURITY CLEARANCE FOR THIS ROLE!
Key Responsibilities and Tasks
- All tasks to be carried out to customer requirements, ensuring accurate completion of tasks on work tablet documentation.
- Drainage and Repair works to different systems and facilities.
- Waste Management, keep up to date with & ensure compliance with current H&S and waste regulations.
- High pressure jet washing of Systems & Tanks
- Working in Confined Space ensuring correct PPE is always used, ensuring compliance to all Health & Safety procedures.
- Always maintain a high-quality cleanliness standard, whilst on customer premises.
- Understanding of risk assessments, safe working systems, COSHH regulations, always ensuring a safe working environment.
- Visit customer premises and understand customer requirements.
- Assist other colleagues as and when required.
- Responsible of PPE & company equipment.
- Responsible for yours and colleagues’ health & safety.
Ideal Candidate
Skills & Experience
- Drain Clearing
- High pressure water jetting
- Ability to start up & shut down Jetting Units
- Understanding of Confined Space working.
- Ability to understand and action relevant procedures for tasks.
- Ability to differentiate requirements between standards.
Training and Qualifications
- Undertake & successfully complete IOSH accredited Health & Safety training.
- Undertake training in (but not limited to);
- Manual Handling
- Confined Space Entry/Sentry
- Environmental & Spill Control/Response
- COSHH
- Emergency First Aid
