Owlsmoor Primary has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, motivated and committed Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and hard-working SEN team in our new and vibrant Special Resource Unit (Wrens).

Primarily for children working at pre-key stage and pre-curriculum level with speech and language and sensory needs, we use a range of methods such as Makaton and PECs to increase communication skills with the aim to promote social interactions and build a range of life skills enabling our children to achieve the best of their ability.

Our school also boasts a well-established and engaging Special Resource Provision (Kingfishers) where our children access the curriculum between EYFS and Year 4 where you may also be required to work from time to time.

The successful candidate will have

Patience and a caring disposition

Experience in a SEN setting and working with very young children

A team player who is not afraid to ‘get stuck in’

Makaton is desirable
