The role of an Back of House Area Manager:
- Oversee and approve rota compilation from the supervisors and maintenance of all back of house budgets and expenditure for each restaurant within your control.
- Responsible for recruiting, training, supporting and developing Supervisors, Goods Receivers, Stewards covering Goods-in, Portering, Polishing, Housekeeping and Night cleaners.
- Responsible for creating and updating SOP Manuals for the back of house department.
- Responsible for maintenance of the staff room, ensuring equipment is in working order and staff room is a clean and hospitable environment for staff.
- Responsible for Health and Safety compliance throughout the business to include – risk assessments, hazard spotting, record keeping, and training. This will also include close monitoring and updating of FACT and Auditus on the Food Alert Website – Ensuring this is kept up to date at all times.
What we’re looking for in a Back of House Area Manager:
- Minimum of two years’ experience as a Back of House Manager in a high volume, fast pace, quality hotel or restaurant environment with international employees.
- Ability to strengthen and develop a strong Team, focused on results generating and exceeding expectations.
- Ability to train and motivate and to conduct training workshops on back of house issues.
- Ability to plan, coordinate and implement work schedules according to business levels.
