About the Apprenticeship Programme
In this role, you will work in the Sourcing & Supply function in UK Operations alongside approximately 150 colleagues who develop and deliver AstraZeneca’s Sourcing & Supply Strategy. The strategy covers four areas – Productivity, People, Digitalisation & Sustainability.
In order to meet the Supply Chain Leadership Professional standard exposure and experience will be needed across the Supply Chain function in Macclesfield, so rotations will be organised to ensure you have the opportunity to learn and develop in the roles and provide you with the evidence for your course. Work with leaders across the function to support their strategies
Work with our marketing companies across the AstraZeneca Territories
Own a drug portfolio e.g. Zoladex, Arimidex etc
Work with project teams to support the delivery of medicines to patients
There is an opportunity to tailor some aspects of the role to meet the specific interests of the successful apprentice – for example being part of our digital & sustainability initiatives.
It is expected that within the role the successful apprentice will have the opportunity to spend time within different business areas (e.g. Planning, Warehousing & Distribution) to enable you to deliver your goals.
Training and Development
AstraZeneca will sponsor you through your Supply Chain Leadership degree with Aston University;
.
The apprenticeship combines working, earning a full-time salary, with fully funded part-time university learning (on average 1 day/week). This will give you the opportunity to gain a Supply Chain Leadership degree, just as you would if you went to university full-time, with the advantage of gaining relevant work-life skills and the excitement of helping to develop new medicines whilst taking your first steps towards a rewarding career.
