Responsibilities:
- Responsible for managing the marketing function.
- Develops, implements, and executes marketing strategies and plans to achieve annual and long-term growth goals.
- Responsible for executing media requests including drafting public relations materials, coordinating interview requests and responses, and serving as practice spokesperson
- Develops and implements a cohesive statewide practice brand identity for all mediums, including print, video, web-based design and multimedia interactive presentations. Responsible for the ongoing management of the practices brand identity system, including the education of vendors, employees, and the community.
- Responsible for directing the production of marketing materials, including brochures, advertisements, posters, PowerPoint presentations, website and other digital assets, signage, training materials, etc. Liaises with copywriters, content owners, customers and outside vendors to manage projects, including administrative responsibilities (such as approvals and budgets) required to complete the project.
- Masterfully uses organizational knowledge to maneuver through formal and informal channels to get things done quickly and effectively. Develops and manages internal and external relationships in order to facilitate work and achieve business goals. Builds relationships with corporate marketing department in order to facilitate work and fully utilize corporate resources.
- Writes Requests for Proposals, sources for vendors, and negotiates contracts within budgets to achieve business results.
- Manages advertising relationships. Responsible for product advertisements/marketing and transaction archiving.
- Coaches and develops staff. Responsible for interviewing, recommending hires, assessing performance, recommending salary changes, and progressive discipline. Enforces adherence to The US Oncology Network policies.
- May supervise oncology liaisons in their role including, but not limited to, sales planning, analysis, targeting, reporting, and development of their territories. Ensures referral feedback/issues are addressed appropriately.
- May be responsible for development and implementation of practice growth strategy in core markets; consciously evaluate staffing requirements to align with strategy
- Provides leadership and guidance for practice growth by establishing and reporting of expected standards of performance, goals and sales initiatives
- May utilize Client Relationship Management (CRM), market analysis, trends, and performance reporting to develop sales plans and track practice growth. –
- May be responsible for supporting practice growth efforts through practice visits, sales calls, tumor boards, community events, trade shows and cross-business collaboration.
- Executes administrative duties, including managing travel expenses within guidelines and budget, timely completion of expense reports, and use of tools such as Salesforce and Business Objects.
- May work closely with corporate patient growth team on hiring, training assessment and development of liaisons.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business Administration, or a related field. MBA preferred, but not required.
- Minimum twelve (12) years of marketing and/or sales experience, preferably in a Healthcare environment, with at least 5 years at a management level.
- Extensive corporate or healthcare marketing work experience with progressively more responsibility required.
- Knowledge of production environment, including printing, advertising, and video.
- Experience working in a creative team environment and creative project management experience required.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The work environment may include exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, medical preparations and other conditions common to an oncology/hematology clinic environment. Work may require minimal travel by air or automobile, approximately 50% of workweek.
