Our manufacturing client in the London area is in need of an interim Plant Controller for the next 3-6 months. The Plant Controller will report to the Group CFO and will be a key member on the Plant leadership team. With a team of 3 the Plant Controller is responsible for the maintenance and analysis of plant financial records required for monthly financial statement preparation, coordinates audits with internal and external auditors, prepares audit packages and prepares budgets and forecasts for review. The Plant Controller will be the financial business partner and will provide strong financial leadership to the Plant Manager and his team. Responsibilities include:

Monthly reporting including financial statements, KPIs, management reporting, sales reporting (weekly and monthly), product line financials

Review & track continuous improvement projects

Budgeting as well as monthly rolling forecasts

Monthly variance analysis

Full cycle monthly closing (AR, AP, Inventory, & Fixed Assets on a 2 day close cycle)

Maintain project costing systems

Ensure SRED project costs are properly documented and are consistent with SRED guidelines

Maintain inventory valuation and analysis

Prepare and maintain Bill of Materials

Review standard costs annually

Develop cost models for all new production parts

Accounting designation (CA, CPA, CGA, CMA, ACCA, etc.)

Proficient in Excel

Systems/ERP experience

Hyperion or Cognos would be an asset

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role within manufacturing industry
