The Opportunity
Are you looking for a career which is rewarding, at the cutting edge of project development and where you can really make a difference? Come and join our expanding Sizewell C (SZC) team and work on one of the most exciting and largest megaprojects in the UK, whilst being at the forefront of the UK’s climate change agenda and energy policy. Following on from the success of Hinkley Point C (HPC), the SZC Project is a nuclear new build project in Suffolk, which has obtained planning approval and Government financing support. The project is now seeking private investment with a view to start construction in 2024. When completed, it will provide dependable electricity to 6 million homes for 60 years, which along with renewables, will support Britain to achieve Net Zero by 2050.
We have an exciting opportunity for a PA and Team support to join our team, leveraging your exceptional organisational skills, attention to detail and strong communication abilities to support the senior MD Programme Officer (MDPO) and Finance teams whilst working proactively with the Sizewell C project’s network of Exec PA’s.
Our teams are set up to work flexibly, with a hybrid working approach between our offices and your home. We provide a full suite of IT equipment to ensure that our employees can work from home comfortably and effectively.
The Role
You will be managing incredibly busy calendars and email inboxes for 3 Directors, working with the wider EDF business, as well as government departments and external stakeholders.
The role will also involve arranging & booking meetings, as well as working closely with other PA’s in the business.
You’ll work as an integral part of a team contributing to team success, communications and a positive working environment.
The Skills
You’ll bring with you key experience in organising, communicating, and supporting senior teams within a fast-paced multi-faceted business. Ideally, previous exposure to the energy industry or any highly regulated environments would be advantageous although not a necessity.
You’ll be able to manage competing priorities, tight timelines whilst upholding the upmost integrity and discretion in all work you carry out – attention to detail is key!
You’ll bring a high level of administrative and secretarial knowledge to the role of PA and Team support, as well as the ability to adapt quickly and effectively to new and changing systems (if you’ve had previous experience of creating and implementing new systems… great!)
If the above sounds like you, then we’d love to hear from you!
