Job Purpose:
Contributes to the overall success of the IT&S Finance in Canada ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives. Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.

- Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
- Responsible for maintaining primarily GET or other Technology Finance Operations portfolios with financial analytics and reporting.
- Monitoring continual activity within the business providing transparency and opportunities of benefits & savings.
- Assist with maintaining of accrual processes, Forecasting, Invoicing, Contract Renewals, Purchase Orders, Deferrals, Ledger reconciliations, Budget Planning.
- Contribution to user-friendly Power BI dashboards, Excel/SharePoint databases, and procurement trackers (single pane financial views).
- Identify and applying GET allocation & chargeback model per project
- Understands the Bank’s IT strategy and digital culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions
- Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
- Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of their respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? – We’d love to work with you if you have:
- A recognized undergraduate degree in Accounting, Business Administration or related discipline, or equivalent qualification/experience.
- 5+ years of hands-on business analysis, data, or procurement work experience.
- Proficient in MS Office tools (particularly Excel and PowerPoint, Visio); and financial reporting software working knowledge of Power BI is an asset.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to succinctly distill information.
- Self-driven, highly energetic, and team player attitude.
- Experience in Allocation of Cost within multiple business lines and definition of Drivers is an asset.
- Analytical mind with critical thinking, able to juggle multiple competing priorities with attention to detail. You are a self-motivated individual with good organizational and time management skills able to pivot with changing priorities during constrained timelines.
- Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and internal/external customers.
