We are a creative, ambitious and inclusive Security team and we need you to assist us in providing a customer focused service to members of the University Community. You will work as part of a small administration team who support each other by working together and in line with our University Values.

About this role: The role involves working within a friendly, customer focused and supportive environment.

Our Administration Assistants are the first point of contact for queries and guidance relating to security policy, access control, keys, ID cards, along with day to day administration for the department.

The role is a part time, permanent role of 30 hours, compressed over 3 days, Monday to Wednesday (07:30 – 18:00) with a 30 minute break.

About you: You don’t need have to have worked in Higher Education or have been to university to apply for this role.

We are looking for a person with strong customer service skills and excellent attention to detail. You should also possess excellent and proactive organisation skills.

We make use of a number of IT systems such as Microsoft Office,) and a number of external databases, so being comfortable with IT systems and being able to pick up new technologies is essential.

You will understand the importance of confidentiality and will be a constructive, positive communicator who is capable of building rapport across a wide range of stakeholders.

You will have experience of working in a busy team, dealing with queries from a range of sources.

Your attention to detail will be second to none, along with being able to demonstrate accurate data entry and a mind set for the continuous improvement of processes.

You will have experience of working collaboratively towards common goals and will be looking to enhance your own personal learning and development, as well as supporting the development of those around you.
