Job Description
The Position
Reporting to the Director of PMO, within the Portfolio Management Office and part of the Ireland Manufacturing organization, this role will be responsible for leading the ongoing development of our operational excellence culture and capabilities within Ireland Manufacturing. The role is accountable for supporting the systems and processes that empower all colleagues to identify and implement incremental improvements that drive efficiency.
Responsibilities include:
Supports key strategic and tactical plans, key performance metrics, and dashboards to drive the Operational Excellence program.
Identifies improvement projects by evaluating the value stream for waste, complexity and helps identify solutions.
Drives targeted improvements to increase our Operational Excellence maturity.
Ensures Ireland Manufacturing continues to develop a pipeline of improvement projects and other initiatives which will ensure meeting all strategic goals and targets.
Builds operational excellence capability by delivering Yellow Belt, Green Belt & Black Belt training across Pharmaceutical Development & Manufacturing (PDM)
Collaborates across PDM Manufacturing sites to implement shared and harmonised processes.
Champions the use of analytics in driving excellence in execution & decision making.
Participates in the PDM Operational Excellence Community & collaborates in the development of the OE Strategy.
Provides mentorship to the site OE Advocate team, Yellow Belt /Green Belt / Black Belt candidates, kaizen and six sigma teams focused on rapid improvements as needed.
Engages the organization through activities such as Kaizens, Gemba’s and OE recognition events.
Drives implementation & embedding of 7S at Ireland Manufacturing.
Knowledge, Experience and Skills:
Lean / Six Sigma Master Black Belt certified.
Degree qualified with significant experience.
Knowledge of analytics and how to leverage same to the benefit of Operational Excellence
Strong leadership and global level influencing & collaboration skills
Demonstrates excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to act on own initiative
Experience in pharmaceutical operations/GMP environment
