In this role you will be responsible for assisting the acquisition operations team on all people aspects until the acquisition is fully integrated into our business. On average there will be twelve acquisitions each year with circa 10 members of staff in each. You will understand the legal framework for managing acquisitions both in UK and Republic of Ireland.
This role will require travel both in the UK and Ireland for which the business will provide a company car / car allowance and will cover any associated travel expenses.
Key Responsibilities
- Working with the acquisition operations team to collect due diligence on all people matters and identifying differences to the core business.
- Working with local management to transfer the incoming members of staff into the core business within the legal framework of TUPE.
- Provide a positive onboarding experience for all new colleagues joining from an acquisition
- Obtain continuous feedback from new colleagues from an acquisition, to enhance the onboarding experience
- Co-ordination and execution of employee welcome event both virtually and in person
- Creation and issue of employment contracts and offer letters, as appropriate working alongside the HR Administration team
- Data gathering, formatting and liaising with People team to arrange upload of data to Workday and for payroll.
- Support the handover of each acquisition, upon integration completion, to the central Human Resources team
- you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including HR, Payroll and Finance to ensure smooth integration of acquired companies and successful implementation of HR strategies,

- Ensure data accuracy, system functionality, and compliance during integration,

Person Specification
- Practical experience in dealing with TUPE
- Minimum CIPD level 3
- Ability to deal confidently with people and internal policies and procedures
- Great attention to detail, self-motivated with a ‘can-do’ attitude
- Be well-organised, proactive, and responsive
- Demonstrable experience of managing multiple tasks and projects concurrently
- Strong communication skills – both written and verbal
- Willingness to travel extensively both in UK and Ireland.
