Job description
NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.
The shift pattern is Monday-Friday (37.5 hours).
The Pay Administration Officer maintains staff records regarding hours worked, periods of leave and associated manpower statistics. They are responsible for the collection, recording and submission of this data to ensure staff are paid accurately and on time. The post will work closely with the Administration Manager to generate rotas.
Knowledge, Training and Experience required:
- ECDL or equivalent proficient in all Microsoft packages.
- Proficient in use of software systems
- Advanced keyboard and computer skills essential, including experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, email SSTS
- Good organisational and communication skills
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Ability to follow protocols for work areas and contribute to review of these protocols.
- Ability to work with little supervision
New employees will undertake an induction/training programme; This will be a minimum of 4 weeks depending on the department and location.
