Job Description

As a Mortgage Specialist for Consumer Direct sales, you will be responsible for selling Manulife Bank mortgage solutions directly to clients who don’t have a pre-existing advisor relationship. You will provide mortgage solutions and advice tailored to each client’s individual needs.

Key Accountabilities

  • Selling of Manulife One, Manulife Bank Select and associated lending solutions such as credit cards and creditor insurance directly to clients with no pre-existing advisor relationship that come in through our various websites, Manulife employees or our Consumer Solutions team.
  • Ensure seamless receipt and packaging of all required mortgage documents from clients to ensure timely, efficient, accurate flow of business to the appropriate servicing unit for a lending decision.
  • Successfully run a sales pipeline and demonstrate a high closing rate
  • Actively follow-up on a steady flow of leads provided to you from the lead management team.
  • Develop a consumer client base through referrals to facilitate the direct sale of lending solutions to clients with no pre-existing advisor relationship.
  • Identify and implement client direct sales strategies including informative webinars, trade shows, etc.
  • Updating our CRM (salesforce.com) with all client interactions and to help manage your sales pipeline
  • Act as a conduit for feedback from clients by identifying ideas for improving existing products and services and new product opportunities

Qualifications:

  • College or University degree in a related field
  • Minimum 2 years experience in the banking and mortgage brokerage industry
  • Strong understanding of mortgage underwriting
  • Experience conducting virtual meetings and presentations
  • Experience with Salesforce.com is preferred
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office, including intermediate level of expertise using Excel
  • Bilingual is required (French/English) -The successful candidate will be required to communicate in English and French in order to support clients from various jurisdictions outside of Quebec
