Cover People are currently recruiting for a KS2 SEN Teaching Assistant for a role in a Primary School in Manchester, Green Hays M15, to start after the February half term, 26/02/2024. This will be an ongoing role, the school are looking to recruit a TA who can commit to full time and offer stability to the pupil.

The Role

A Primary School in Manchester Green Heys, is looking for an SEN Teaching Assistant to provide to support to a variety of pupils across KS2. The role will be to work 121 predominately with a pupil in Y4, but you will also be asked up on to support other pupils in KS2 on a 121 or in small groups. Running small group interventions in core subjects as well as helping pupils with delayed learning difficulties who may be working at lower levels. The pupils will have ASD and ADHD. Good behaviour management skills will be key to the role as well as the ability to build strong relationships with children. Experience of working with ASD and ADHD is an advantage. The candidate is expected to be able to lead and take charge when working with the small groups however be able to form relationships with pupils to ensure engagement, commitment and development.

The candidate must have:

  • A minimum of 6 months experience working with SEN children
  • Experience and knowledge of supporting children with SEN
  • Excellent behaviour management skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • DBS on update register
  • References for last 2 years work history
  • Up to date CV
