About Us: Tradewind Recruitment is a leading education recruitment agency committed to providing exceptional support to schools and educators. We are currently seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support primary schools in Huyton on a supply basis.
Job Description: We are looking for a passionate Teaching Assistant to join our team on a full-time basis, providing valuable support to primary schools in Huyton. As a supply Teaching Assistant, you will have the opportunity to work across different schools, making a positive impact on the lives of students and supporting teachers in delivering high-quality education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons across the primary curriculum.
- Providing one-to-one and small group support to students who require additional help.
- Supporting students with special educational needs (SEN) or English as an Additional Language (EAL).
- Helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Supervising students during class activities and outings.
- Collaborating with teachers and other staff members to support student learning and development.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, preferably in a primary school setting.
- Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and a commitment to promoting the welfare of children.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and use your own initiative.
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
