The role

NU London wishes to appoint a Lecturer in Project Management. You will contribute to the teaching activities of NU London in Project Management.

The subject area is well established within the University in the form of a Degree Apprenticeships programme, BSc (Hons) Project Management with Digital Technologies. In 2024/25, the University is launching a new MSc in Project Management, with particular focus on Strategic Change Management, which will be the focus of the appointee’s work in the first year.

You could also become the programme lead of one or both programmes, depending on experience. We wish to appoint a specialist in any area of Project Management. Preference may be given to candidates with active interests in the relationship of Project Management to one or more of the following areas: sustainability; responsible investing; change management; workplace learning / apprenticeship contexts.

The role requires availability for teaching on campus on a weekly basis during term-time, with the number of days depending on the agreed contract fraction. All postgraduate teaching in this subject area takes place on campus in central London; there may be opportunities for occasional hybrid work in the Apprenticeships provision.

Person Specification

To excel in this role, you will have the following skills and experience, or transferable skills.

  • Master’s degree, or equivalent professional experience, in a relevant area (essential).
  • A teaching qualification (FHEA or equivalent).
  • Can demonstrate, through evidence, excellent ability to be adaptable, innovative, and inclusive in the role as advertised with regards to teaching.
  • Teaching competency in Project Management from Level 4 to Level 7.

We are hoping to move to a timetable where Wednesday afternoon’s are available for student clubs/ activities and staff CPD.
