Job description
As a Data and Business Intelligence – Affordable Non-State School Report Intern, you will support the continued build-up and maintenance of the EduFinance Business Intelligence and research infrastructure, including collecting data from external sources to update and improve an existing key report, the “Affordable Non-State School Report.”
RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Collect third-party data from UNESCO and other sources to update the “Affordable Non-State Schools report” using Excel and Word.
- Support with the maintenance of data collection tools that are used by all EduFinance departments, E.g., Fulcrum, Chalkboard Education, Google Forms
- Support with the management of integrations of external data sources into the EduFinance database, E.g., APIs, data pipelines, Microsoft Flow, Data Factory
- Assist with administration of the EduFinance SQL database on Microsoft Azure.
- Assist with data quality control of existing databases.
- Support with the creation and maintenance of dashboards and reporting tools across several departments
- Assisted with generating new analyses for key insights, research, and other publications.
- Check that dashboards and data collection tools accurately reflecting the status of the program
- Assist with presentation of analysis and data reports to the EduFinance team and other stakeholders
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be enrolled in a credited college graduate or undergraduate program in data science, engineering, or other quantitative field research.
- Previous experience with Microsoft Excel, SQL server, and Python preferred.
- Knowledge of data pipelines and entity relationship diagrams is preferred
- The ideal candidate will have a passion for data analysis and the ability to use data to tell a story to convey an important message

CAPSTONE PROJECT
Carry out external research and use the findings to update the “Affordable Non-State School Report.” Create a new version and presentation to showcase their version of the report.
