Assistant Accountant Role Overview
NC Associates are working with a leading prestige company, who are looking for a driven and passionate Assistant Accountant to join their fast paced team. You’ll be responsible for ensuring the efficient control of clerical and reporting procedures throughout the company and ensure clerical routines are developed in line with company policy and comply with statutory regulations.
Assistant Accountant Responsibilities:
- Assist with preparation of Management accounts – the detailed processes involved will be as explained by management to you as our standard procedures.
- Prepare, monitor and control analyses for prepayments and accruals
- Reconciliation of specified Nominal Ledger accounts on a monthly basis
- Supervise the bank reconciliation to statements on a daily basis and process petty cash payments, ensuring adequate records are maintained.
- Prepare NL expense account analyses.
- Maintain and process the company payroll, including HMRC payments and related administration functions.
- Maintaining fixed asset register for your dealership.
- Prepare and process IFC inputs/reconciliations and send output reports to senior management
- Distribute vehicle debtor and cash account analyses, with responsibility for reviewing and clearing queries with respect to cash allocation.
- Prepare VAT reconciliations and submission
- Liaise/supervise with Purchase ledger invoice coding.
- Assist Group Accounts Manager/ Group Chief Accountant where appropriate and cover for other team members where requested in regard to absence through holiday/sickness.
- Perform all other sundry administration requested by management
Assistant Accountant Experience Required
- Experience with management accounts
- Experience in a similar role
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Strong administration and organisation skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
- Ability to work within a team environment.
