What is the opportunity?
In this role, you will lead a high-performing team to deliver comprehensive strategic, management, and financial reporting for Capital Markets (CM) collaborating with various Finance and functional teams and supporting senior leaders across Finance and the business.

What you will do?
Lead a talented and motivated team responsible for CM Platform Management reporting requirements including analyses and insights for senior management across the business and Finance as well as support enterprise reporting to Head Office
- Oversee the production of accurate and complete CM Platform Performance Management deliverables, including daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly reporting & analyses for consumption by senior management, functional partners, and contribution to external reporting materials
- Oversee the annual financial planning cycle as well as the ongoing forecasting activities with an emphasis on up-to-date financial estimates and smooth execution of the Plan & Forecast process in collaboration with Finance leads across CM Performance Management
- Manage the Capital Markets compensation strategy and reporting including ongoing analyses of the compensation approach and expense accruals, as well as coordination of the annual compensation cycle including compensation analytics consumed by senior leaders in the business, Finance, and HR
- Responsible for Platform Performance Management infrastructure not limited to reporting hierarchies, financial system administration, and month-end close requirements (performance management). Ensure smooth operations and continuous improvement of infrastructure to maximize efficiency, as well as enhance value-added capabilities for reporting, analysis, and insights
- Establish the team as the key platform performance conduit for regional and global functional teams, not limited to Financial Control, Product Control, External Reporting, Head Office Finance, and Group Risk Management
- Responsible for ad hoc (solicited and unsolicited) and business-as-usual management reporting with an emphasis on transaction analytics; P&L decomposition and business drivers; as well as robust and insightful commentaries that keep senior leaders well-informed of business performance
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
- 7+ years of relevant finance experience in financial services/management consulting with relevant exposure to and understanding of Capital Markets
- Strong team and people management abilities, and ability to play a leadership role across a wide group of peers
- Keen sense of numbers and strong analytical skills with the ability to multitask and handle high-pressure executive level requests on an ongoing basis
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills with a strong ability to influence stakeholders and mobilize cross-functional groups to deliver on common goals
- Superior organizational and problem solving skills
- Able to consistently exercise independent thought and judgment and adapt to new tasks quickly
- Very strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint Presentation skills, with data mining skills and ability to explore new technologies to enhance the delivery of financial information
Nice-to-have
- CPA (CA, CMA, CGA) or international equivalent, MBA, or CFA
- Excellent project management skills
- Experience in complex wholesale business activity, namely a thorough understanding of Capital Markets businesses and transactions, and associated risks & returns.
- Experience in management reporting and analysis, and/or financial resource optimization (capital, funding, and liquidity).
- Proactive and persistent in issue resolution
