Tradewind are working alongside a well run ‘Good’ Academy to source empathetic and professional Graduates for Teaching Assistant roles to work with children on a 1:1 basis with mild SEND requirements. This is an ideal post for those considering a post within education in the future or looking for a CV enhancing work experience. We are open to applications from all degree holders who can demonstrate a passion for helping children achieve.

We offer above-market rates of pay, with the daily rate in the region of £80 – £110 per day, and are offering full-time positions between the hours of 8:30 – 4pm and we work with all 4 secondary schools in the Welwyn Garden City area , so if this role isn’t perfect for you, we’ll find the one that is.

Your duties will include:

• Supporting and managing pupils with special educational needs, usually on a 1:1 basis
• Taking responsibility for the safeguarding of the young people in your care
• Assisting the SEN team to provide a stimulating, safe and nurturing environment for students to learn

To be successful in the role of SEND Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Be subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
• Have a thorough understanding of supporting pupils with SEND
• Provide a CV with employment/education history included. Employment breaks must be explained
• Have the legal right to work in the UK.
