Do you have experience working as a Teaching Assistant in secondary education? Do you have an honours degree? Would you like to take on a new role as a Teaching Assistant? Veritas Education are working with a supportive and high achieving secondary school in Hackney, East London who are looking for a high calibre Teaching Assistant to join as soon as possible. To work as a Teaching Assistant with us, we ask that you have experience with secondary aged children (formally or informally), have an honours degree (minimum lower second) and most importantly a desire to help and support secondary aged children in a school setting

Responsibilities of a Teaching Assistant

• Working with children aged 11-16 operating classes in various subjects
• Helping children with special educational needs
• Engaging with students for 4-5 periods
• Treating children with respect and kindness as a teaching assistant

Job Requirements to be a Teaching Assistant:

• Enhanced DBS on the update service
• An honours degree (preferably Upper Second) or equivalent
• Interest in working with children (specifically with SEN)
• Experience working in childcare, informally or formally
• Right to work in the UK
