Salary £21,314, increasing to £23,464 after the 1st of April

We have a brilliant opportunity for you to join our awesome Colleague Services team as Human Resources and Development (HRD) Colleague Services Assistant.

Our colleague services team are the first point of call for all HRD activity, from Recruitment to Onboarding and development you’ll support colleagues and managers with legal processes and compliance activity.

Typical day as a HRD Colleague Services Assistant

  • Completing employment checks for new starters including DBS checks, reference requests and visa checking
  • Handling contractual changes
  • Managing departmental email inboxes
  • Answer incoming calls to our main HRD phone line
  • General administration duties
  • We administer and support colleagues, managers and candidates through many processes to ensure a smooth process from start to finish.

You are

  • Passionate, able to provide a great customer service
  • You thrive in a fast-paced environment, dealing with high volumes of tasks most of which that are deadline driven
  • Calm under pressure and able to deal with volumes of work in a cool calm and collected way
  • Able to handle a lot of data with an eye for detail and being able to maintain accuracy
  • Able to create, organise and analyse data to make informed decisions and take appropriate actions.
  • Confident using Microsoft Office and other technical tools

You’ll work alongside our fabulous team who are super passionate about providing a brilliant service, ensuring compliance and maintaining accuracy.

Our manager Tracey has been with Home Group for 13 years, so is perfectly placed to support you as you join our team. In her spare time, she is very family and friends focused, spending most of her time with her two children. There are 19 of us in the wider team too so there are loads of us to make you feel welcome and part of the team.

Job Details

  • Full time 37.5 hours a week Monday to Friday
  • Flexible hybrid working, attending our Head Office in Newcastle 2 days a week. The rest of the time you’re able to work from home, meeting for face to face meetings as a wider function once every quarter or so.
  • You will have a fantastic induction with ongoing learning support.
