RSK Environment part of the RSK Group is seeking high-calibre GIS Consultants to join our growing Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) & Environmental Management (EM) team. This position will be based out of our Hemel Offices with a Hybrid working arrangement . Currently we are home-working, and we are likely to continue with a Hybrid mixed working arrangement.
You will be joining a dynamic and growing team within a leading multi-disciplinary environmental consultancy servicing a wide range of commercial, energy, government, property, transport and utilities clients. Responsibilities:
- Provide GIS support to all areas of the RSK business, as required
- Produce map-based figures, implementing web-mapping applications and supporting mobile GIS data collection solutions in your area of responsibility
- Assist in the effective management of geospatial information relating to RSK projects
- Assist in the preparation and management of web-mapping and data visualisation services in ArcGIS Online
- Advise and support project staff on all GIS related issues, including on-site data collection using Field Maps and Survey123
- Develop individual capability to provide advice on GIS and spatial information management and in devising robust GIS solutions.
Personal Specification:
- BSc degree level qualified in GIS, Geography, Environmental Science or a relevant discipline
- Practical experience of manipulating spatial data in GIS and Excel
- Experience of ESRI software products like ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Desktop 10.x, with Spatial Analyst and 3D Analyst extensions, if possible
- Experience of web-mapping and map-service creation using ArcGIS Online and associated tools like the Web App Builder, Experience Builder and Storymaps is desirable
- Familiarity with ArcPy/Arcade scripting and or spatial modelling using Model Builder is desirable.
- Knowledge of other GIS software, CAD and/or graphics packages would also be
