We are currently looking for a Ruby Developer to join our client who is a pioneer in the sports betting industry.

We are looking for someone with a strong foundation in Ruby on Rails and this role will involve developing and maintaining their betting products, ensuring high standards of quality and performance.

This position would be 5 days a week in Central London and salary is between £80,000 – £100,000 along with a 10% bonus.

Key responsibilities include:

• Develop and maintain APIs and Web Applications using Ruby on Rails.
• Collaborate with product, front-end, and C# teams on new feature design and implementations
• Optimize application performance and scalability
• Participate in code reviews and knowledge sharing
• Adapt to and utilise technologies in our current stack, including AWS, Kafka, MySQL

In terms of experience we are looking for someone who has the following:

• Minimum 5 years of Ruby on Rails development experience
• Understanding of object-oriented programming and software engineering principles
• Familiarity with Rails 7 MVC including import maps, JS is a plus
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
• If you have knowledge of either Microservice or AWS then that is a bonus but not essential
