School Science Technician – Leicester
Ongoing temporary role-Immediate start
Working hours are 8.30 – 4.30pm Monday – Thursday with a 4pm finish on a Friday.

We are looking for a Science Technician to join a school based in the Leicester area. You will be required to work in the labs and provide support to students with scientific experiments.

Your new role

• To follow and carry out the instructions of science teachers and senior technicians
• To deliver a high standard of practical support to subject teachers
• Need to be adaptable, will work in each of the different science departments
• To report unsafe practices to the appropriate person (Lead Technician, Head of Department etc.)

What you’ll need to succeed

• Knowledge and understanding of laboratory health & safety issues
• Ideally, have experience of working within an educational environment.
• Knowledge and understanding of the three sciences
• Strong communication skills
• Effective organisational and time management skills
