Are you a qualified social worker, committed to improving outcomes for children and families in West Midlands? If so, we’d like to hear from you.

Starting on 15/03/2024, this role includes a caseload covering children in need, children in need of protection and ‘looked after’ children. As our successful applicant, you will play a critical role in assessing and planning care solutions in accordance with statutory requirements and departmental policies.

The role will be ideal for applicant who have experience of keeping accurate records, writing reports and using your strong relationship-building skills to ensure service users are involved in decision making. In addition, you’ll be asked to work up non-restrictive care plans and ensure effective communication with children, families and other professionals.

In terms of key skills, we’re looking for a candidate with excellent organisational and teamwork skills, high quality interpersonal skills and a focus on cooperation and effective working.

Finally, you need to be in possession of a social work degree or other professional qualification relevant to the role (eg DipSW, CQSW or BASW) and be HCPC registered.
