A DAY IN THE LIFE AS AN ACCOUNTANT

In this role, you will be at the forefront of our accounting operations, ensuring that all transactions are processed in accordance with GAAP and company policies. Your responsibilities will include preparing reconciliations for various accounts, investigating discrepancies, and taking corrective action as needed.

You’ll play a key role in audit and tax support by managing deliverables, preparing schedules, and ensuring compliance with audit standards. Additionally, you’ll support the budgeting process by providing essential information to Finance Managers and comparing regional results to budgets.

Your expertise will also extend to preparing reports and reconciliations for bank reporting requirements, as well as reviewing accounts payable and receivable transactions for accuracy.

In this dynamic role, you’ll work in a team-based environment, offering support to regional and corporate offices, and contributing to the overall success of our financial operations.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Preferred 3 years experience in a similar accounting role with a focus on month end processes and deadlines.
  • Diploma or degree in Accounting or business-related field of study and enrolment in or completion of an Accounting designation program is a bonus.
  • Understanding of accounting principles.
  • Strong understanding of computer office programs such as Excel, Word, and Teams and an ERP.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Open to working overtime when needed (month end).
