The Senior Analyst will contribute to the overall success of the Liquidity Stress Testing Management team within Group Treasury in Toronto ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives. They will ensure all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:

  • Develop, execute, and refine liquidity tress test scenarios and models to evaluate the impact of various market and economic conditions on the organization’s liquidity position.
  • Be accountable for UAT testing and taking lead in planning and executing testing in coordination with various technology teams.
  • Partner with technology teams and internal stakeholders to implement and enhance daily Enterprise Liquidity Stress Testing Management reporting and monitoring systems.
  • Contribute to the on-going enhancement of the Enterprise Liquidity Stress Test Program (with specific focus on banking products like deposits and loans, and trading products like derivatives).
  • Conduct periodic market research and analysis for the purpose of recalibrating and enhancing stress test assumptions and scenarios.
  • Work with cross-functional teams on the OSFI B-15 Climate Risk Management project, with a focus on Principle 5 liquidity adequacy assessment for climate-related risks, to develop climate data-driven liquidity assumptions.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of all processes to satisfy internal and external audit purposes and business continuity requirements.
  • Support culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance reporting and analysis activities.
  • Assist with the management of relationships with key business partners including technology, second line risk and strategy teams.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed? We’d love to work with you if you have the following:

  • Undergraduate degree in Business, Computer Science, Finance, Mathematics, Engineering or Accounting is preferred
  • Master’s degree in a relevant field is not required but recognized as an asset
  • CPA/CFA/FRM qualification is an asset
  • 1+ year of experience in Banking/Finance Industry (treasury, liquidity management, capital markets, or risk management experience is an asset)
  • Experience with Microsoft Office required
  • Strong data analytical skills with large volume data processing experience; proficiency in R or Python; experience in Power BI; familiarity with relational databases (e.g., SQL, PostgreSQL)
  • Effective communication skills to facilitate collaboration, ensure clarity of goals, and promote successful outcomes
  • Ability to work well in a team demonstrating active communication, being solution-focused and staying proactive about teamwork
  • Attention to details and deadlines; able to manage multiple initiatives
