Pastoral AssistantLocation: Barnet, LondonRate: £12.50 to £16.50 per hour (depending on experience)Contract Type: Full-time, Long-termIntroduction: We are an established education agency currently hiring on behalf of a reputable Secondary School in Barnet, London. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join the school’s team as a Pastoral Assistant. This role offers an hourly rate of £12.50 to £16.50, depending on the candidate’s experience.Responsibilities: As a Pastoral Assistant, your primary focus will be to provide vital support to students, contributing to their overall well-being and academic success. Key responsibilities include:Student Support: Offer guidance and assistance to students facing academic, personal, or behavioral challenges.Mentoring: Provide one-on-one mentoring to students, fostering a positive and supportive environment.Collaboration: Work closely with teachers, parents, and other staff members to address the individual needs of students.Crisis Intervention: Be prepared to respond to and manage crisis situations as needed.Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of student interactions, progress, and interventions.Requirements:

• Previous experience in a similar role within an educational setting is advantageous.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Empathy and understanding towards the diverse needs of students.
• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and external stakeholders.
