Requisition ID: 195499Join a purpose driven winning team, committed to results, in an inclusive and high-performing culture.As a Manager, Account Administration you will be responsible for leading Account Administration in Global Wealth Management (GWM) and supporting MD Financial Management’s lines of business, ensuring the team’s mandates and service levels are achieved, and initiatives are executed and delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives.Is this role right for you? In this role you will:

  • Be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations and executing on multiple mandates within MD Operations including Trade Operations, Transfers, Fee Management, and/or Client Onboarding teams
  • Directly support multiple lines of business within MD Financial Management including MD Plus, MD Private Investment Council, and MD Private Trust and provide auxiliary support for MD Exo Direct, and Scotiabank iTrade, McLeod, PIC, and Retail lines of business
  • Be responsible for performance development, coaching and feedback, goal setting, performance calibrations, and year end assessments of direct reports as well as onboarding, offboarding, recruitment, and engagement of employees, to support the operational needs of each line of business or team
  • Actively manage audit engagements, including compiling requested documentation, conducting related walkthroughs of business controls, and providing a business response to audit recommendations and findings
  • Work effectively with other departments and outside vendors to ensure all interactions with both internal and external contacts are professional, are handled in a timely manner and completed with accuracy
  • Identify, define, and assess initiatives aimed at greater efficiencies and challenge new or existing processes that are found to be less than fully compliant with the latest regulatory requirements, along with CIRO, CRA, and Bank policies and procedures across the Global Wealth Management network

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? – We’d love to work with you if you have:

  • Previous people leadership experience in the Financial Services industry, preferably 3+ years
  • An understanding of Wealth Financial systems, procedures, policies, and the regulatory bodies that govern them.
  • Ability to multitasks and apply time management to complete your day-to-day responsibilities.
  • Possess strong data manipulation and analysis skills, including sourcing, compiling, parsing, sorting, and analyzing multiple data sources simultaneously using Microsoft Excel
  • A high level of reliability and dependability
  • A high level of personal accountability, and the ability to implement a culture of accountability in their team
  • Strong decision-making skills with the ability to work independently with low levels of direction and high autonomy
